Nature Reserve Fiumefreddo
The river Fiumefreddo has two sources called Quadara and Capo d’Acqua and flows across a lowland area for two kilometers near the town of Fiume Freddo.
The Nature Reserve has a total area of 10 hectares and it is well-known for its singular fluvial habitat.
Despite the cold water, the nature is rich and full of particular crops like the rare Cyperus, a papyrus plant. It is possible to join guided tours every day morning, except for Tuesday and Thursday, days in which the tours take place just in the afternoon.
